Logistics Document Processing Automation
How a logistics company automated CMR and POD document extraction using a fine-tuned vision model, reducing data entry from 3 hours to 20 minutes per day.
Challenge
A regional logistics operator was receiving 100–150 scanned transport documents (CMRs, proof of delivery, customs forms) per day via email. Staff were manually extracting key data fields into their TMS system — a process taking 2–3 hours daily and prone to errors.
Solution
We deployed an AI document processing pipeline that monitors the incoming email inbox, automatically classifies document types, extracts relevant fields using a fine-tuned vision model, validates extracted data against business rules, and pushes confirmed data directly into the TMS via API.
